Real support for real life.

Cancer & life-altering diagnosis support

Whether you’re navigating a cancer or other life-altering diagnosis, the psychological impact can be profound. You might be coping outwardly while internally holding fear, uncertainty, grief, anger or exhaustion.

I offer trauma-informed counselling for adults at any stage — from diagnosis and treatment through to survivorship or supporting a loved one. My approach is relational, grounded and practical, creating a space where you don’t have to hold it all together.

I have been involved with Quest for Life Foundation programs since 2014, designed specifically for people facing life-altering diagnoses, including cancer. I also have the lived experience of a brain cancer diagnosis. Together, we can gently process what’s happening and find ways to navigate the emotional and existential challenges that arise.

Other areas of expertise

I also work with a wide range of experiences that don’t require a diagnosis. Many of the people I support are high-functioning on the outside, yet internally feeling overwhelmed, stuck or exhausted.

This may include navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, or a general sense of disconnection from yourself or your life. I also draw on my background in corporate environments, supporting professionals and leaders managing stress, pressure and competing demands.

You don’t need a label or diagnosis to seek my support, just a sense that something isn’t quite right, or you’re searching for a different way of doing things, or you feel like you don’t know who you are anymore if you’re moving through a life transition.

Finding the right practitioner matters when you’re working to heal the body, navigate emotional challenges, or find steadier ground after life-altering experiences.

Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience. Fourteen years ago, I was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer and given a prognosis of 18 months. This journey continues to shape how I listen, how I support, and how I walk alongside others with care and compassion.

To help you decide whether working together feels right, I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory chat. There’s no pressure — just space to connect and explore what support might look like for you.

One-hour sessions are $110. If financial strain related to illness, treatment, or emotional upheaval is a concern, please know I’m open to discussing adjusted fees.

In person sessions are available Thursdays at Thrive Wellness Hub (9 Robert, Street Wickham). I’m regularly in Sydney and the Southern Highlands and welcome enquiries about home visits or nature-based walk-and-talk sessions.
